Christmas plus California has been our big family tradition. Once every 3 years we might spend it in Mexico with our grandparents but still consider it a normal thing. Things might be finally taking another road as the company my father works for has shipped and moved to North Carolina. So here we are faced with reality that next years Christmas we might be spending it miles away from Cali and miles away from our loved ones. Then I think even if we are not under the same roof we grew up in, surrounded by family and friends who have always been there with us it will hurt to be away but it won't matter. The house we will live in would be our new home since all 7 of us will still be together. The family we will leave behind will always be family and will always love us. I guess life is really about change and new experiences. What really matters now is how we deal with it, sticking together through thick and thin. After all that is what family is about and our love, connection, and the determination we have is greater than most.
